So...
This whole "post once a week" thing hasn't been working out so well.
In my defense, last week we started our daily rehearsals for the yearly January opera performance at my Uni. These rehearsals are five to six hours long, and have been starting late in the evening because the Spring semester courses for this year also started last week. Personally I think the timing/scheduling for everything could have worked out a lot better, but nobody ever asks the students about it, because it's not like we're the ones who are actually affected by everything.
This semester's opera has been both easier and harder than usual. It's been easier because it's Mozart, and timing-wise, there are large periods of time where people rotate on/off stage, so not everyone has to be on stage all the time. So there's a decent amount of downtime between times I'm actually singing, given that I'm only in the chorus this year.
On the other hand, since we're doing The Magic Flute, the chorus is only on stage 3 times, and all of them are at the end of each Act, so I get to spend roughly 45 minutes after the start of Act One doing nothing. And the same thing happens during Act Two except the chorus is on at the halfway point for a teen tiny period of time.
So, I'm frightfully bored when I'm not prepping to go on stage, and there's only so much homework one can do without access to hard copies of books that can't leave the library.
EDIT: And it's been use a long fucking day I can't spell. Also I'm about to punch a bitch because she won't shut the fuck up. I brought up a valid health concern about a business that allows smoking and she keeps say it's not a big deal. We're singers, it IS a BIG FUCKING DEAL.
